ANDHRA STYLE ANAPAKAYA PALU KURA(LAUKI WITH MILK)SUBZI

INGREDIENTS:

Anapakaya / Lauki– 4 cups, cubed - 1medium size
Oil – 1 tbsp
Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Channa Daal – 1 tsp
Urad Daal – 1 tsp
Methi Seeds – 1/8 tsp
Curry Leaves – few
 Red Chili – 2, broken
Hing – pinch
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
Green Chillies – 2, finely chopped
Onions – 1 medium, chopped
Red Chili Powder –1tsp
Salt – to taste
Milk – 1/2 cup

METHOD:

1. Heat Oil in a pan on medium heat.


2. Add Mustard Seeds and let them crackle.


3. Add Cumin Seeds and let them fry.


4. Add  urad dal .



5. Now add channa dal.


6. Then add  fenugreek Seeds, dry red chillies .


7. Cook for few secs and  then  add curry leaves.


8. Add chopped  Green Chilies and  Onion.


9. Saute nicely until the raw smell disappears.


10. Add the lauki cubes.


11. Add salt snd haldhi(turmeric) powder and mix well.



12 . Add  red chili powder .


13. Stir nicely .


14.Cover and cook until Lauki is cooked for 5mins.


15. Keep strring in middle.
16. Once the lauki becomes soft open the lid and mix well.


17. Add Milk.
































18.Mix and cook until milk is mostly evaporated .

19. Serve hot with chapati  or white rice...................................garnish with coriander leaves.........

  1. OOOhhhh... I love any recipe that has tumeric in it. Did you know tumeric is an antifungal and also and will help to heal inflamation.
