MOONG DHAL RASAM(PESARA PAPPU)

INGREDIENTS:
Moong dhal(pesara pappu)- 1cup
Green chillies - 3
Tomatoes - finely chopped
Onion - 1small finely chopped
Ginger - 1/2 inch chopped(optional)
Turmeric - pinch

FOR TEMPERING/TADKA:
Mustard seeds- 1/4tsp
Jeera seeds - 1/4tsp
Curry leaves
Dry red chillies - 2
Hing(inguva) - a pinch

METHOD:
1. Take 1 cup dhal and wash it well.
2. Chop onion,tomatoes,ginger finely
3. Slit green chillies into half.
4. Keep all these in cooker.

5. Add water 1:3 (1cup dhal 3cups water) and pressure cook for 3 whistles.

6. Mash the cooked dhal.
7. Add salt.
8. Add some water to make it little liquid consistency.
9. Keep kadai add 2tso oil fry mustard,jeera,curryleaves,dry red chillies,and hing.

10. Pour this tadka on the boiled dhal.
11. Allow it to boil for 5mins.
And serve goes reallly good with hot rice...............................................


Note: Y ou can even squeeze lemon at the time of serving....................
